Sackboy Cake

This is the Sack Boy from the Playstation game Little Big World. This was fun to do. All the parts are cake, minus the globe, it's just a large piece of fondant. The zipper and it's parts are fondant as well as the eyes and mouth. The stitches are done with small lines made to look like a knitting.

Transformers Cake

The transformer is made using little dots. I usually draw my pictures on paper before I do them on the cake. But this one was giving me a hard time, so I think we ended up printing a picture to trace the outline on the cake. I used different colors to get the shadows right.

Fondant Baby Shoes

I made these with playdough first. Then I carefully took the pieces apart and traced them on to cardstock. Then I just cut it out of fondant and put it all together. Water makes an amazing glue for fondant

Miniature Wedding Cake

It seemed fitting to start with my most recent cake. I did it this morning.

This is a 2 layer 8" with a 6" and a 4" on top. The frosting is buttercream and black store bought frosting. The red roses are fondant.

Maybe...?

I love browsing galleries of cakes, and knowing how they were made. So I thought it might be fun to make a "gallery" of my own.

It's going to take some time to get them all on here and write how they were made. I'm not sure I could remember all of them. Maybe what I'll do is start with the pictures and as I have time, add how they were made.
